Learning happens best when classroom schedules are respected by both teachers and families. Consistency benefits children, so we ask parents to commit to maintaining schedules and to adhering to the following policies:
All adults who pick up children must be authorized in writing to do so. If the individual picking up is not on file as fully authorized by the parent(s) or guardian(s), the child will not be released into his or her custody.
All students are to be picked up by the close of day, 6:00 pm. Students picked up after 6:00 pm will be assessed a late pick-up fee of $25.00 for the first 10 minutes or any portion thereof and $1.00 per minute thereafter. In the event that the school closes early for any reason, whether scheduled or unscheduled, the late assessment begins at the time of early closing.
Parents must give permission in writing for their children to attend field trips. Permission forms are provided.
A fee of $25.00 will be charged for any returned checks. The Newbury School reserves the right to require a cashier’s check or money order to replace any returned check.
For infants through pre-k families, weekly tuition payments are due by Friday for the following week. Payments received after the close of business Monday will be subject to a $25 charge.
The Newbury School reserves the right to require payment in the form of a cashier’s check or money order for past due accounts. The Newbury School reserves the right to terminate enrollment if an account becomes delinquent
Families that have siblings at the Newbury School will receive a 10% discount applied to the lowest tuition rate.
Tuition payments are based on a fixed full-year tuition amount. There is no reduction in tuition for absenteeism, holidays, non-academic days, or school closings due to inclement weather.
We will never share information about a child with anyone except parents or authorized guardians. Comprehensive health records and histories are required before a child is admitted. Information on allergies, immunizations, and emergency contacts are continually maintained and updated.
We have an aggressive cleanup and hand-washing regimen in place to ensure a healthy environment for our students. We ask parents to be responsible and considerate when a child is ill. We can not allow sick children to attend class until they are symptom free without medication for 24 hours.
